Rotomatic is a patented pneumatic ejector core chuck that combines the reliability of Re torque activated core chucks with a concentric telescopic pneumatic ejector, designed to solve roll expulsion issues and reduce material waste.
This innovative system eliminates problems with roll unlocking during expulsion, significantly improving efficiency and process safety.
The Rotomatic core chuck consists of a Rotogrip chuck, ensuring optimal grip without damaging reel cores, and a pneumatic telescopic piston that automatically expels rolls without manual intervention, even for deformed or damaged reel cores.
During roll loading, the core chuck utilizes torque to expand wide-surface segments, securely locking the reel cores without slippage or loss of torque. In the unloading phase, the pneumatic telescopic piston generates a coaxial force of 14.500 N in the first stage and 5.500 N in the second stage, unlocking and expelling the rolls automatically.
This automatic expulsion system ensures safe rolls expulsion of any size from all unwinders, preventing injuries and reducing risks to operators, thus improving workplace safety.
Rotomatic pneumatic ejector core chuck can be adapted to any unwinder, with pneumatic feed configured either axially and automatically through an internal shaft or radially and manually in the absence of pneumatic supply.
The chuck is available in diameters from 3” to 6”, with load capacities up to 45.000 N and torques up to 2.500 Nm. Additionally, the flange mounting, centering, and closing nose length can be customized to perfectly fit any new or existing unwinder.
To prevent damage to internal components, a safety valve protects the system from excessive pressure within the pneumatic chamber.
