Rotospring is a patented spring ejector core chuck that combines the reliability of Re torqu activated core chucks with a concentric telescopic spring ejector, designed to solve roll ejection problems and reduce material waste. When the roll stand is not equipped with a pneumatic system, this innovative core chuck eliminates roll unlocking issues during expulsion, significantly improving efficiency and process safety.
The Rotospring core chuck consists of the Rotogrip chuck, which ensures a perfect grip on the reel cores, precise centering, and optimal transmission of the braking torque, preventing paper waste. The spring system effectively addresses expulsion challenges, ensuring 100% safe roll ejection without the need for levers or manual methods to unlock the cores, enhancing operator safety.
Rotospring can be installed on any roll stand, new or existing, in less than ten minutes, as it requires no mechanical or pneumatic modifications to the machine. This offers significant time and cost savings, eliminating the need for complex mechanical and pneumatic interventions typically required by automatic expulsion systems.
The spring ejector core chuck is available in diameters ranging from 3” to 12”, with load capacities up to 110.000 N and torques up to 16.000 Nm. Additionally, the flange mounting, centering, and closing nose length can be customized to fit any new or existing unwinder.
