The PTS 25 digital color line sensor for web guiding systems, is designed to detect and track the position of continuous or interrupted printed lines, material edges and patterns on a wide range of moving materials, even in low contrast conditions and at high speeds, with a regulation speed of up to 1 kHz. This sensor, when integrated into a web guiding system, is essential for minimizing waste and maximizing production efficiency.
Featuring an extremely intuitive interface, the PTS 25 offers operators a seamless user experience, including text messages and assisted calibration for simplified operation. The sensor can automatically select the optimal reading point within its visual area, even under challenging conditions such as reflective materials, low contrast, or bad ambient lighting conditions.
The built-in laser pointer assists positioning the sensor for precise contrast tracking, enhancing the effectiveness of the operation. With an articulated mounting bracket and the ability to position it just 60 mm from the material, the PTS 25 simplifies material threading and optimizes installation.
Equipped with a 5″ color touch-screen display, the sensor accurately reproduces the material’s image and colors, improving visibility and precision during operation. It also features two high-power white LED illuminators, ensuring optimal performance under any lighting conditions.
The PTS 25 has a viewing field area of 25×16 mm and is equipped with digital and analog input/output options for greater versatility.
In a complete web guiding system, the PTS 25 digital color line sensor works alongside MWG22, MWG10.1, SmartMotion technology and the WLigo display, and mechanical frames such as WG offset pivoting frames, WR steering rollers, and AT linear actuators to maintain web alignment during production.
PTS 25 is frequently used on slitter rewinders, in combination with linear actuators, to ensure precise material control during cutting and winding processes.
