Python is a next-generation wide band infrared sensor, designed to deliver maximum precision in material position detection for web guiding systems. By integrating the illuminator and receiver on a single housing, the sensor reads the material across its entire width, making it the perfect solution for major format changes without manual repositioning.
Python is engineered to detect both edges of materials such as paper, cardboard, and opaque plastic film, ensuring stable and reliable control. It can also identify the center position and measure the material width, adapting to a wide variety of industrial applications. Its compact design makes installation easy in any machine layout and, in many cases, eliminates the need for a rear reference, further simplifying integration.
Equipped with advanced electronics, the wide band infrared sensor Python offers a reading range from 216 mm to 3500 mm and extremely fast response times, guaranteeing continuous and precise control even at high production speeds. The integrated keypad with four buttons, a 23-LED bar and a four-digit display allows for quick and simple calibration.
With five selectable outputs (0–5 V, 0–10 V, 4–20 mA, 0–20 mA, 0–24 mA), the wide band infrared sensor Python can be easily integrated into any web guiding system or application. An optional CAN communication interface is also available, enabling remote calibration and adjustment for even greater operational flexibility.
