The CPF sensor roller is specifically designed for cantilever applications, making it ideal for detecting the tension of the laminate on the roller in a variety of web tension control processes, whether unwinding, rewinding, or during intermediate operations.
Equipped with two internal double-lamina load cells, this tension sensing roller delivers highly accurate load measurements, ensuring precision regardless of where the web is positioned on the roller. Additionally, the roller’s own weight does not affect the measurement, guaranteeing a stable and reliable web tension detection over time.
Featuring a one-sided mount, the CPF sensor roller is quick and easy to install. The connector can be placed inside or outside the machine frame, offering maximum flexibility for integration into existing systems.
For simplified management and calibration, an optional version includes an integrated amplifier and a display on the front of the roller, providing direct readouts of tension data and facilitating more efficient operator control.
Made of aluminum, the CPF sensing cylinder offers a combination of lightness and durability. With load capacities ranging from 50 N to 700 N and available diameters of 84 mm or 100 mm, the CPF sensor roller meets the needs of various applications.
Once incorporated into a closed-loop tension regulation system, the CPF roller’s electrical signal, if necessary, is transmitted to a load cell amplifier or tension controller. The controller then adjusts brake torque accordingly to maintain optimal tension levels, boosting productivity and minimizing material waste.
